Build a VSL video
Describe your product. Viral Engine writes the video sales letter, plans every scene, records the voice, animates the key moments with Higgsfield, burns in captions and hands you one finished video, from 1 to 20 minutes long.
1Write the brief
- Product is the only required field. Say what it is and the main result it gives.
- Who it is for, Offer, Why it works and Call to action make the script specific. The more concrete, the better the hook.
- Proof: only real reviews, numbers or credentials. The writer never invents testimonials, studies or statistics.
- Not sure what to write? Click an example to load a sample brief and edit it.
- Already have a script? Tick I already have a script and paste it. Viral Engine plans the scenes from your words exactly.
Then choose the length, the style (b-roll with voiceover, text slides, or a presenter), the shape (16:9 for YouTube and landing pages, 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, 1:1 for feeds), the captions and the voice.
2Read the script
Writing and planning takes about a minute for every 3 minutes of video, and you can leave the page while it runs. The script is exactly what the narrator will read. Edit anything; if you change the words, click Re-plan scenes from my edits so the scene board matches.
3Shape the scenes
Each card on the scene board is a few seconds of the video: the line the narrator says, what the picture shows, and how it is shown.
| Mode | What you get | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Motion | A real Higgsfield video clip made from the scene's image | 60 credits a second at 720p, 120 at 1080p |
| Still | The scene's image with a slow camera push | Only the image |
| Slide | Big on-screen text over a soft background, good for prices and calls to action | Only the image |
| Presenter | Your recurring presenter for the key lines (without lip sync unless HeyGen is connected) | Only the image |
Use Key beats to put motion on the hook, the mechanism, the offer and the close (the classic mix), Every scene for maximum polish, or None for the cheapest version. Reorder, add or remove scenes freely.
4Render
The exact price updates as you edit. Press Render my VSL, confirm the number, and the render runs in the background: voice, images, Higgsfield motion, scenes with captions, then one joined video. The finished video appears in the builder and in your gallery, ready to download.
What it costs
- Planning (script and scene plan): a small fee charged when you start, usually 80 to 280 credits.
- Rendering: voice, one image per scene, Higgsfield seconds for motion scenes, and a small render fee per minute. A 3 minute VSL with the key beats in motion is typically 3,000 to 6,000 credits; 10 minutes is typically 12,000 to 18,000.
- Fair billing: you are charged the price you confirmed and refunded automatically for anything not delivered. If a motion clip cannot be made, that scene uses its still and the motion is refunded. If a render fails, it is refunded in full.
Tips for a VSL that converts
- Put the most surprising true claim in the first two sentences: the hook decides whether anyone watches.
- Use the 9:16 shape and bold captions for paid social; most people watch without sound.
- Add up to five product photo links under More so every scene shows your real product.
- Pick a brand agent to keep colors and style consistent with your other ads.
From the command line
ve vsl estimate -m 5 prices a length. ve vsl build --product "..." -m 3 -o vsl.mp4 plans, shows the price, asks you to confirm, renders and downloads. ve vsl status <job> shows progress.
